TRI’s Sam Allen Elected IGS President

The TRI family of companies extends a warm congratulations to Sam Allen, VP of TRI Environmental, on his election as President of the International Geosynthetics Society (IGS). Sam has shown not only tremendous leadership in his roles with TRI, but in the geosynthetics field. He previously served as Chairman of ASTM International Committee D35 on Geosynthetics and on the Board of Directors of the Geosynthetic Institute (GSI).

Today (September 6), Sam is in Warsaw at the 7th European Conference on Geosynthetics, where he is being officially installed as the IGS President. We look forward to this next phase of the IGS with Sam Allen leading the IGS Council, and we extend our gratitude to Prof. Chungsik Yoo (Korea), who will now transition to the roles of Immediate Past President of the IGS and President of the Federation of International GeoEngineering Societies (FedIGS).
